This festival is top notch. From the networking to the screenings to the workshops and food this is put on by people in the industry who love and appreciate filmmaking! Thank you so much for having the Hadlee projects as part of your festival! We met so many amazing friends and contacts which would not have been possible without this festival. Thank you from The Hadlee team

This was my first festival experience on the filmmaker side, I’ve had a few as an actor, and the experience with Oakville Film Festival could not have been a better start. The weekly workshops leading up to the festival were educational, communication great, and the people are kind and helpful.

– Ryan Northcott

Phenomenal festival! I had the pleasure of virtually attending OFFA last year. Wendy and her team did an incredible job organizing and communicating with us. I felt very welcomed and included throughout the festival. It’s beautiful when you truly feel supported and nurtured by a festival. Thank you, OFFA!

– Alexis Duran

What an amazing experience!
I feel honored that my filmed had live and online screenings on this great festival!
Tori, Cynthia and the whole team at OFFA were always there for any possible question and they always informed the participants for every stage of the festival.
I had the chance to meet some amazing people, and even had the opportunity to attend a short Q&A interview about my film.
By far my favorite festival, hope to take part again in the future!
Thanks OFFA!

– Christopher Anagnostopoulos

What a fantastic festival! Wonderful lineup, great communications, and very welcoming organizers. They managed to put together an extraordinary festival even in the midst of a pandemic. I can’t recommend this festival enough and very much hope we can experience it in person someday soon! — Team Gosia@Tomek

– Christine Jezior (Germany)

Great communication and fantastic experience. The team at OFFA were always clear and concise with what they needed and always kept the filmmakers well informed. I screened my short film on the gala evening and it was well attended and met with a great response. One person in the audience said “well that was dark” which is exactly the response I wanted. Would apply again in an instant.

– Mark Delotinville

Thanks for everything and congratulations for still making it possible despite new measures.. it was such a pride to be selected by you guys to premiere my movie in Canada

– Thomas Gailhard

REVIEWS

Thank you OFFA 10. We were thrilled to be a part of this years event. It was an incredible experience. The film selection was terrific. The Industry day was excellent and well received and the studio tour and lounge for film makers was a very nice touch. Thank you for a rewarding and memorable few days. Thanks to Wendy and her incredible team and to the volunteers and all the sponsors who helped to make this happen.

– David Peck

I was so honoured to have my short film Demon Box screen at the Oakville Film Festival’s tenth edition. Wendy, Tori and their incredible team of staff and volunteers work tireless to foster a wonderful sense of community for the filmmakers and the attendees. Each of the many screenings I attended was overflowing with enthusiastic and engaged audiences. This fest strikes a lovely balance between cinema creators and cinema lovers. The location is picturesque. Thoughtful Industry panels round out the experience – making this a must attend event.

– Sean Wainsteim

What a great festival ! I never saw a team so involved in the preparation of a festival. They contact you to schedule online meeting to talk about your film, they offer you filmmakers passes and friends&family tickets, they also organize the OFFA’s Industry Summit to increase networking opportunities. You can feel that OFFA’s Team loves Cinema and that’s what makes a really great festival for film lovers. I’m very proud that my short film was screened for the 10 years edition.

– Cyril Masson

So great to be part of this amazing film festival once again! Wendy and her awesome team and volunteers really made us feel welcome and put together a fantastic experience for all the filmmakers and audiences! We were very proud to bring our short doc “The Moviegoer” to Oakville and give the film festival the highest recommendation possible! Congrats to everyone at the Oakville Film Festival!

– Ross Munro

This was our first real festival and it was a blast. Wendy and the team put together several fun nights filled with drinks and music, fantastic films, plenty of networking opportunities, drinks and music 🙂
I might produce another film just so I can submit it to OFFA again!

– Cliff Redford

This festival was a such pleasure to be a part of. The Industry day produced some the best panels I’ve attended at any festival or industry market (at a gorgeous venue), the networking opportunities were great, the food was delicious and I’m so happy to have done the studio tour. Couldn’t have asked or a better experience.
