Film Submissions

2019 Submissions are now closed

In its sixth year, The Willson Oakville Film Festival showcases and promotes excellent films in ALL GENRES (drama, comedies, documentaries, shorts, animation, and NEW for 2019: short web series) by Canadian and International filmmakers. We are looking for filmmakers who can tell great stories! We are doing themed shorts screenings this year, and also doing a family film event every year so are looking for a great family film.

The festival is social issues oriented, with thought-provoking films about the human condition, that speak to the diverse social issues that impact our community, from women’s issues and ageism, to addiction and mental illness, to issues affecting our youth such as bullying, or growing up. This years focus is mindfulness, and we are looking for inspiring stories of people who have overcome adversity to do great things. We are also putting out a special call for Indigenous stories, and female directors.
