AFTERNOON HIGHLIGHTS

OFFA is proud to host an impactful, entertaining, awareness-raising and fun afternoon in honour of International Women’s Day 2026, on Sunday 1st March, at 4 pm at our official event Partner, Film.Ca Cinemas.  Guest emcee and Oakvillian Carole Bertuzzi-Luciani will host once again, along with a live musical performances from Oakville born singer, songwriter Lara Simonot, and Canadian-born award-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Natasha Meister, as well as award-winning singer/songwriter Nix Ironstone.  The event will be followed by a Q&A moderated by Rania Walker, President, Front Door PR. Special guests include: Sherry Sinclaire, Co-Chair, Women in Music Hamilton, Halton, Nix Ironstone, Singer/Songwriter Harmonia Live, and Founder/CMAOntario 1st Vice Chair.

Partial proceeds from this years’ VIP Pass ticket sales and Film Fan Tickets will be donated to: UWHH: Women United in support of their glow Programs.

United Way Halton & Hamilton’s Women United members make a difference where they live, advocate for change, and create a brighter future for women and girls.

Girls Linking Our Worlds (GLOW) is a group mentoring program for elementary school students who identify as female. Through mentoring relationships, and discussions, along with creative and physical activities, volunteers help participants explore different cultures and celebrate diversity, learn different techniques for physical, mental and emotional well-being.

OFFA is excited to present Mile End Kicks: a Canadian coming-of-age drama, romcom set in Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood.

It follows a young woman who’s feeling stuck and out of place at home and at school, and who becomes drawn into a new crowd and a more rebellious lifestyle — exploring themes of identity, belonging, friendship, family tension, and the push-pull between freedom and consequences.

Carole is a long time resident and volunteer of Oakville, wife, mother of three grown children and grandchildren.  She has spoken to hundreds of thousands of North Americans during her 35 + year career as a professional speaker. Although her topic range is varied, her style remains consistent. She delivers important and usable life lessons in an entertaining manner through the creative use of props, sharing anecdotes and high energy. Regardless of the message, Carole sprinkles each with a taste of her humorous perspective.  As a speaker, she has been described as motivational, inspirational, entertaining and fun thus describing herself as ‘Moodivational.’ You can’t help but ‘get the message’ while you are enjoying yourself … the learning is painless. Her goal is for you to leave her session feeling better than you did when you walked in … invigorated, enthused and excited to glean the upbeat and uplifting elements of life. Oakville born, Toronto based singer/songwriter

Lara Simonot is an up-and-coming Canadian singer-songwriter whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with modern country-pop sensibilities. Known for her honest lyrics and emotionally rich vocals, Lara writes from lived experience of love, loss and self-discovery. Performing her new, original song “Shoulda Been Mine” Lara will be showcasing her ability to pair catchy melodies with raw vulnerability, creating performances that feel both intimate and powerful. Whether on stage or in the studio, Lara brings authenticity to every song—inviting listeners into her world, one story at a time.

Natasha Meister

Natasha Meister- Canadian born, award-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist

Natasha Meister is a singer/guitarist born in London, Ontario. Natasha started music at the age of 6, singing in her local church and entering competitions which lead her to pursue music full time. With a multitude of  performance experience over the last several years on various stages internationally, she captures audiences wherever she goes with her skilful guitar playing and powerful vocals. She is a versatile artist playing anything from blues, jazz, rock, alternative to pop music. Now under her belt is over a decade of experience in the industry with notable performances opening for The Pixies and LIVE on tour in South Africa 2017.
