This Fall, the Oakville Festivals of Film and Art (OFFA), in collaboration with Film.Ca Cinemas, proudly presents its Fall Screening Series—a curated program of films with strong local roots and global resonance. The lineup features the local Premiere of the heartfelt and funny Canadian documentary Silver Screamers, from acclaimed director Sean Cisterna, about a group of spirited seniors determined to make their own horror movie; the gripping crime drama Little Lorraine, a Canadian story with international reach, starring Stephen Amell (Code 8) and Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), and produced by Tim Doiron and James van der Woerd of Wango Films; and the witty UK dramedy The Choral, starring Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes. Crossing genres and borders, these films explore universal themes of resilience, community, and identity, reminding us of the power of cinema to connect cultures and spark conversation. Most screenings also include live or virtual Q&As with filmmakers and actors—an experience not to be missed.
